Genetically assemble your perfect baby

Doing some online research I have learned of a new medical procedure that people will be able to have done    in the future: to genetically enhance your child before they are born, to ensure they have no diseases or physical problems and also to alter their physical appearance. I think it is really great that we are discovering new ways to keep our children healthy, but I think it is ridiculous that we are using this technology to further try and beautify our society. One scientist was promoting the fact that the technology could be used to prevent "stupid" babies and "ugly" children. You can choose if you want your child to be smart or athletic. I personally think this is wrong; it's so unnatural and people will start becoming paranoid about comparing their "perfect" children to others'. If this is all we are concerned about for the future of our children then we really need to get our priorities in order and focus on fixing the problem we already having, not creating new problems based around superficiality.
